FLOOD UPDATE: PUMPING, SANDBAGS, FOOD, WATER, LAW ENFORCEMENT, WATER DIVERSION
Several pumps have been deployed to the Village of Hatch and have been moving water from downtown into drainage canals since 2 a.m. The pumped water eventually will be discharged into the Rio Grande.

ROADS RE-OPEN TO HATCH, ACCESS TO SOME AREAS REMAINS RESTRICTED
The New Mexico State Police have re-opened most highways leading to the Village of Hatch. Highway 185 remains closed.

I-25 CLOSED DUE TO GASOLINE SPILL
A gasoline tanker truck has overturned near mile marker 44 on Interstate 25. New Mexico State Police have closed the interstate from Rincon to Truth or Consequences in both directions. Emergency crews are on-scene and will remain on scene until the danger has passed, at which point traffic will resume. read more...

BREACHED ARROYO REPAIRED BY CREWS
Doña Ana County road crews, working shoulder-to-shoulder with crews from the Elephant Butte Irrigation District and other local partners, have repaired the banks of a breached arroyo near Hatch. Using heavy equipment, work will continue on the Placitas Arroyo into the night to shore up and strengthen the repaired areas. read more...

RIVER EXPECTED TO RISE ONE FOOT OVERNIGHT
The Doña Ana County Flood Commission has announced that the Rio Grande will likely rise a minimum of one foot overnight due to runoff from flooding in Sierra and Doña Ana counties. Residents who live along or near the river are urged to pay close attention to rising water levels and to be prepared to evacuate on short notice if necessary. No evacuation orders are in place south of Rincon at this time.

DONATIONS SOUGHT OF CLOTHING, BEDDING, BABY PROVISIONS FOR EVACUEES
The American Red Cross is seeking donations of blankets and clothing for adults and children. Many evacuees from Hatch and surrounding areas arrived at evacuation centers wearing soaked clothing and with no provisions. Also sought are donations of diapers and baby formula.

PUMPS BEING DELIVERED TO VILLAGE OF HATCH
The Doña Ana County Emergency Operations Center has arranged for several large pumps to be delivered to the Village of Hatch. The pumps will be used to pump water out of the downtown area and into two lateral canals on the east and west sides of town. The canals drain to the Rio Grande.

ACCESS TO HATCH CLOSED AGAIN
New Mexico State Police have closed all roads leading into Hatch, including N.M. 26, which was opened for a brief period. The I-25 ramp at Exit 41 remains closed, as do Highways 185, 187 and 154. In addition, N.M. 11 from mile-marker 0 to mile marker 3 is closed to traffic.
