COUNTY SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION SEATS
Doña Ana County is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission, a seven-member board of volunteers whose members review land-use and development matters at twice-monthly public hearings.

FREE LEGAL CONSULTATIONS OFFERED TO COUNTY’S SENIORS
Doña Ana County seniors with questions about legal matters will have their chance to be educated on Friday, March 24, when a workshop comes to the Village of Mesilla. “Lawyer Referral for the Elderly,” sponsored by Doña Ana County contractor Quality Senior Services, will be held at 9 a.m. at the Old Mesilla Community Center at 2251 Calle de Santiago in Old Mesilla.

$10,000 REWARD OFFERED FOR INFORMATION ON DAIRY FIRES
A coalition of Doña Ana County dairy owners has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of the arsonist(s) responsible for two hay fires last week at the Buena Vista Dairy Farms near Vado.

BUREAU OF ELECTIONS SCHEDULES SATURDAY POLL-WORKER TRAINING SESSIONS

EVANS NAMED TO NACo HOMELAND SECURITY TASK FORCE

STATE DISALLOWS FLOOD-LEVY REBATES PROPOSED BY TREASURER’S OFFICE
The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department has refused a request by Doña Ana County Treasurer Jim Schoonover to refund over-collected flood levies to thousands of Doña Ana County property owners.
