UPDATED: THREE DEAD IDENTIFIED FROM CHAPARRAL MOBILE HOME FIRE

The University of New Mexico Office of the Medical Examiner has identified the three people killed in a mobile home fire Thursday in Chaparral. The victims were Elena Diaz, 20; her brother, Rodolfo Diaz 17; and her infant daughter, Eileen Millan, 14 months. Cause of death in all three cases was smoke inhalation. read more...

COUNTY OFFICES ANNOUNCE HOLIDAY SCHEDULE

Most Dona Ana County offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 26-27, 2009, to allow employees to observe the Thanksgiving holiday. Emergency services and law enforcement in the field will not be affected, but the administrative offices of the Doña Ana County Sheriff¹s Department will be closed.
